DENTAL FILLINGS
Dental Fillings are used to repair holes in teeth caused by tooth decay. A filling is a common dental treatment, but not a simple one. A poorly done filling can lead to food trapping, recurrent decay, severe sensitivity, and biting pain. That's why at Streeter Dental the doctor does every filling rather than delegating them to his assistants. A special desensitizing agent is used to reduce sensitivity and care is taken to ensure that each filling has proper bonding, contours, and anatomy. Every filling is matched to your tooth's color so it blends in, even if you never see it.

SINGLE APPOINTMENT CROWNS
A crown is used to repair a tooth that too decayed or broken for a regular filling. The tooth is smoothed down and the crown is cemented on top. The tooth is then strong and functional again. Crowns usually take two weeks to make and at least two office visits, but with our digital technology, the whole process can be done in two hours. Our ceramic crowns are also more esthetic than conventional crowns because they don't have any metal in them. Older crowns with metal leave a noticeable darkness at the gum-line; our crowns don't. Modern ceramic crowns also mimic the translucence of enamel to blend in with your natural teeth.

DENTAL BONDING
Dental bonding uses tooth-colored filling material to repair teeth with chips, discoloration, poor alignment, or other esthetic problems. The filling material is added directly to the tooth and shaped by hand to repair the defect. There are many advantages to bonding. It is quick and painless, no anesthetic required. A variety of colors can be used to match your tooth perfectly and add natural characteristics. Bonding is also less expensive than alternative treatments such as porcelain veneers. However, bonding is not as durable and can require repair or replacement after several years.

Veneers
Veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth in order to correct aesthetic defects. Veneers can dramatically improve the appearance of a persons smile instantly. They are virtually undetectable and are more resistant to chipping and stains than resin bonding. With proper care, veneers can brighten your smile for over a decade!

BRIDGES
A bridge replaces missing teeth by bridging gaps between teeth or implants. The benefit of a dental bridge is that it is fixed in place and does not come in or out. You can forget it's there and eat with confidence. It is important that missing teeth are replaced. Over time, missing teeth can cause other teeth to shift and tilt leading to alignment and chewing problems. Missing teeth can also lead to bone loss, increase the risk of gum disease, speech disorders, and even change the appearance of your face.

DENTAL IMPLANT RESTORATIONS
Dental implants are special titanium screws that are fixed into bone to replace missing teeth. These implants heal tightly to the bone and create strong foundations for several different tooth replacement applications. Implants can take six to eight months for full bone integration, but most patients experience no disruption to their daily life and, once restored, implants function like natural teeth. Streeter Dental has the latest digital technology to make and deliver implant crowns in one appointment, which normally requires over two weeks.

TOOTH WHITENING
Teeth whitening is using a peroxide to pull stains and colored particles from the superficial surface of the teeth. It is a safe way brighten your smile because it does not damage the enamel, but it can cause some sensitivity because it opens microscopic pores on teeth as it pulls out the stains. We can create customized trays to fit your teeth and give you professional bleaching gel for a better result than over the counter solutions provides. The custom trays hold the gel onto your teeth better and prevent it from burning your gums.

TOOTH EXTRACTIONS
When a tooth is severely decayed, broken beyond repair or obstructing orthodontic treatment it extract it. Severely decayed teeth left in the mouth can lead to serious facial infections and health complications. Streeter Dental offers nitrous oxide sedation (laughing gas) and local anesthetic to ensure that extractions are pain-free and comfortable.

DENTAL SEALANTS
Newly erupted teeth usually have deep grooves that gather food and plaque that is difficult to clean even with good brushing. Sealants are protective white restorations that are flowed into the grooves to seal them from debris and prevent cavities. Sealants do not require any anesthetic or drilling. Sealants hold up well under the force of normal chewing and can last many years before wearing away.

DENTURES

Denture replace missing teeth in order to help patients eat, but dentures also really improve a person's appearance by providing important support to cheek and lips. Traditional dentures rely on tight fit and suction to stay in place. New techniques give denture wearers more options including dentures that "click" onto implants with a special ball-and-socket for greatly improved retention. Dentures can even be permanently fixed to the jaws with "all-on-four" implant dentures that never have to be taken out of the mouth.

INLAYS AND ONLAYS
Inlays and onlays are used for tooth reconstruction and are very similar to fillings and crowns. Inlays are small replacements inside the cusps of the teeth, while onlays extend over one or more cusps of the tooth. Both are made of cerminc and bonded to the tooth with a strong cement and then polished.

SOFT TISSUE TREATMENTS
Laser procedures are fast, easy, virtually painless, and offer a level of precision that simply isn't available with other conventional dental instruments. The dental laser reduces bleeding, swelling, infection or post-operative discomfort and also eliminates the need for most sutures. The laser is used to perform various periodontal and cosmetic procedures.
